The Technology & Sequence Behind Video & Audio Streaming
Streaming, is a method of relaying data like video and audio media over a computer network as a steady continuous stream, allowing playback to proceed while subsequent media is being received.
Live Streaming, refers to media or content delivered live over the Internet, requires a camera for the media, an encoder to digitize the content, a media publisher, and a content delivery network to distribute and deliver the content to the viewer.
How Streaming Video and Audio Works in The Church Environment
Although live streaming has been available since the mid 1990’s, the technology is still relatively new to churches.
The following are the 4 stages of streaming with brief explanation of the technology and how a viewer is able to watch a live broadcast of their Sunday Service on their computer or hand held device:
